Dyke surveillance discontinued and dyke passages reopen
The highest measured water level at sea was NAP+ 3.72.
Storm Eunice prompted dyke surveillance full dyke surveillance last night. At 3:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, surveillance was scaled back.
No abnormalities were found or incidents reported during the inspection. A live seal was found near the Emmapolder wave run-up measuring point.

The dyke passages Delfzijl reopened at 5:45 a.m. The port area in Delfzijl is once again accessible as normal.

During daylight hours, an inspection was carried out on the dykes quays dykes structures. The storm left a few areas of wear and tear on the sea defense. We can repair these as part of our regular maintenance work. Otherwise, region abnormalities were found in our region and no damage was observed to our structures.
