- Dead animals (e.g., birds) in a ditch, canal, or lake;
- Extremely high or low water levels in a ditch or canal;
- Damage to dykes or quays;
- Incident in one of our pumping stations, sewage pumping stations, or wastewater treatment plants;
- Flooding.
What happens to your report?
When you report an emergency or an incident to us, we ask and do the following:
- Who are you, what's going on, and where?
- Your contact details (of course, we will not pass your details to others)
- We will register your report and pass it on to an employee who will assess the situation on site, possibly together with you.
- The employee will take further measures if necessary.
- Has the situation been resolved? We will contact you.
What do we do in an emergency?
We're ready day and night. If there's an emergency, we jump into action straight away. Noorderzijlvest Water Authority is an emergency organisation and has a special plan for these situations. This plan outlines what we do if there is a dyke breach or a treatment plant is damaged.
