Every day, we contribute to waterproofing the future, working to ensure clean, healthy and treated water, and providing sufficient water in every season.

Waterproofing the future

Thanks to the work of the water authorities, we can live in one of the most dangerous deltas in the world.

Clean and healthy water

We are working to improve the quality of surface water with the help of farmers and organisations.

Treated water

We all use water. The water authority cleans the wastewater. This amounts to 50 million m³ of water per year.  

Enough water in every season

We are working on providing a good supply and drainage of water. And we are keeping a close eye on water levels.

International cooperation

With our international partnerships, we contribute to sustainable water management and a climate-resilient world. 

Climate and sustainability

We help to limit climate change. We use energy consciously and work as sustainably as possible.

Learning about water

We give guest lectures and have teaching materials for schools. We organise excursions for young people and adults.
