Water situation
How dry and how wet is it now? What are the expectations? And what is the water authority doing to ensure sufficient water in every season: not too much and not too little? In the water situation, you can read the current state of affairs regarding the situation in our region.
The water situation deals with the amount of expected precipitation and the supply and discharge of water.
Key points
- There was less precipitation than normal in our area in January.
- Most of the precipitation fell as snow.
- The meltwater is partly absorbed into the soil and partly flows into watercourses. This has caused local water levels to rise. This is normal in these winter conditions.
- Excess water slowly drained into the sea. Because there was slightly less precipitation, the average discharge also remained limited.
