Guest lectures

We are happy to give guest lectures in classrooms within our area about our water management tasks and about climate and sustainability. We can also give guest lectures on location in consultation with you.

Guest lessons for ages 10-13

  • About strong, smart dykes Lesson on why dykes the Netherlands need to be reinforced and how this can be done in the smartest way possible. Includes a creative assignment to dyke the ideal dyke .
  • About plastic soup - Lesson about plastic in our water and what we can do to prevent even more plastic soup. With experiments to investigate plastic soup.
  • About climate change - Lesson about climate change and the role of the water authority students in this. With a fun board game to learn about water management and discharge.

Guest lessons for 14-16 year olds 

  • About Democracy and the choices made by the water authority ProDemos' Democracy Game.
  • About dykes floods, part of the Water in the Schoolyard teaching method.
  • About downpours and flooding, part of the Water in the Schoolyard teaching method.

Teachers of the 14-16 age group can get started themselves with the Democracy Game and Water in the Schoolyard.
