Dyke passages closed again due to high water
Shortly after midnight on Wednesday, February 2, we will experience high tide at sea. Rijkswaterstaat forecasts a water level of NAP +3.10 m in Delfzijl around 12:10 a.m. This means that the dyke passages coupures) in Delfzijl will be closed.
We will start closing the road on Tuesday evening at 21:00. This will result in the temporary closure of the port of Delfzijl. Traffic will be diverted using signs. Once the water has receded sufficiently and the road is clear of water, the roads will be reopened. The Delfzijl coupures always close when the expected sea level is NAP + 3m or higher. We carry out these closures in collaboration with our colleagues from water authority en Aa’s water authority.
