Closure of dyke passages tonight at 04:00 due to high water

On Friday, November 24, we will experience high tide at sea. Rijkswaterstaat forecasts a water level of NAP +3.40 metre around 8:30 a.m. This means that the dyke passages coupures) in Delfzijl will close.

We will begin closing the area at 4:00 a.m. tonight. As a result, the harbour will be temporarily closed. Traffic will be rerouted via signs. Once the water level has dropped sufficiently and the road is clear of water, the roads will be reopened.

The dyke passages Delfzijl are always closed when the expected sea level is NAP +3 metre higher. The water level of NAP +3 metre expected around 7:00 a.m. on Friday morning.
