Approach: 17 Bridges by 2024
In 2018, the Board of Directors approved the Bridge Program. The goal of this programme to accelerate efforts to bring the bridges into good, safe condition. The 17 Bridges Initiative is part of the Bridge Program. The water authority to sustainable and, where possible, circular replacement.

Replacement of bridges in clusters
The bridges will be replaced in clusters, based on their similarities. The grouping is provisional. There may be reasons to change the grouping or to remove bridges from the list based on new information. In that case, another bridge to be addressed will be added to the programme.

Request for Proposals
In 2019, Royal Haskoning DHV water authority the water authority with the tender process for the project “Framework Agreement for a Construction Team to Replace 17 Bridges Between 2019 and 2023.”
