Our water situation updated again.
Key points
- Overall, 2025 was drier than average. The first half saw less rainfall than usual, but from September onwards, there was more rain than average.
- December is turning out to be quite dry. Between 20 and 30 mm of rain fell in the first half of the month, whereas normal rainfall is around 80-90 mm for the entire month. The dry conditions seem to be continuing up to and including the holidays.
- Because the soil is saturated from all the autumn rainfall, our region is quite wet.
- Water levels in our watercourses are normal for this time of year.
