Our water situation has been updated again.
Key points
- Unlike other parts of the Netherlands, our region saw little precipitation during the first weekend of May.
- As a result, our precipitation deficit is slightly higher than the national average.
- We supply water from lake IJsselmeer to both Groningen and Drenthe.
- Despite the drought, there is still sufficient surface water. No additional water management measures are needed at this time.
