About the water board elections
The general board of the Noorderzijlvest Water Authority has 23 seats. For the new general board, 19 seats are reserved for the 'residents' category. The election results will determine the distribution of seats for this category. In addition, four seats in the new general board are reserved by law: two for the 'undeveloped' category (appointed by the agricultural and horticultural organization LTO-Noord) and two for the 'nature' category (appointed by the Association of Forest and Nature Area Owners).
Vote on Wednesday, March 15
There are two elections on that day. In addition to the water board elections, you can also vote in the Provincial Council elections. The municipalities in our working area organize a large part of the election process. Eligible voters receive a voting pass from the municipality. The municipality also provides the polling stations and counts the votes.
