Dyke reinforcement Lauwersmeer dyke-Vierhuizergat

The Lauwersmeer dyke in Groningen lies between Lauwersoog and the Westpolder. We are currently reinforcing this dyke. This will protect us from future flooding from the sea. After a period of preparation and joint planning, we began the work in 2023. The dyke reinforcement will continue to the end of September 2026. All the information can be found at Home | Lauwersmeerdijk-Vierhuizergat Dyke Reinforcement (Dutch only)
