Submit an enforcement request

Did you notice a violation that concerns the water authority? For example, a polluted or blocked ditch? Try to resolve the issue with your neighbours first. If that doesn't work, you can report it to us. We will request the offender to take appropriate measures. If no one deals with the violation, you may enforce compliance yourself as last resort by submitting an enforcement request. 

Who can submit an enforcement request? 

  • If you see a violation that concerns the water authority, please report it to us. We will talk to the offender.
  • Is it a matter between you and your neighbours, for example? Then try to resolve it yourselves first.
  • If that doesn't work, please let us know, and we will work with you to find a solution.
  • If you are you unable to resolve the issue with us, you can submit an enforcement request to us.

How does it work? 

  • You submit your enforcement request to the competent authority, to the water authority for example.
  • You can do this in writing or by email. Send an email to info@noorderzijlvest.nl.
  • You can submit a complaint anonymously if you wish.

How does the procedure work? 

  • We may talk to you or your neighbours to find a solution.
  • If that is not possible, we will process your request.
  • You will receive our response no later than eight weeks after submitting your enforcement request.
