Submit an enforcement request

Have you noticed a violation that concerns the water board? For example, a polluted or blocked ditch? Then first try to resolve the issue with your neighbors. If that doesn't work, you can report it to us. We will then request the offender to take appropriate measures. If no one takes action against a violation, you can, in extreme cases, enforce compliance yourself. You can do this by submitting an enforcement request. 

Who can submit an enforcement request? 

  • Have you noticed a violation that concerns the water board? Please report it to us. We will address the offender.
  • Is it a matter between you and, for example, your neighbors? Then try to resolve it yourselves first.
  • If that doesn't work, please let us know. We will then work with you to find a solution.
  • Are you unable to resolve the issue with us? Then you can submit an enforcement request to us.

How does it work? 

  • You submit your enforcement request to the competent authority, for example the water board.
  • You can do this in writing or by email. Send an email to info@noorderzijlvest.nl.
  • You can submit a complaint anonymously if you wish.

How does the procedure work? 

  • We may discuss the matter with you or your neighbors to find a solution.
  • If that is not possible, we will process your request.
  • You will receive our response no later than 8 weeks after submitting your enforcement request.
