Het Wateradvies (Water Advice)
Het Wateradvies.nl is available to identify the water aspects of a location as early as possible. On this site, you can draw in the planning area and answer a number of questions about that plan. There are three possible outcomes of this digital check:
- No water interests: there are no water interests to be taken into account.
- Standard advice: you will receive advice with standard texts and a reference to the policy and principles of the water authority.
- Customised advice; we would be pleased to discuss a customised solution with you.
Water aspects
- Water supply and drainage
- Drainage (difference between ground level and water level)
- Water safety
- Rainwater drainage
- Position in the area (in the polder, catchwater, free-flowing area)
Weighing the importance of water
In spatial planning, it is important to take water aspects into account as early as possible. The water authority informs and advises initiators in this regard.
The local councils (as the competent authority) take this advice into account in their decision-making. This is where the 'weighing up of water interests' takes place. It ensures that good plans are made and implemented in the physical living environment.
Who is it for?
Anyone who wants to develop a spatial plan can use it.
Please note: it is not a permit check. It concerns new plans that are not yet ready for implementation.
How does it work?
- Go to hetwateradvies.nl and follow the instructions on the site;
- Always send the result to the water authority. Use the 'Apply directly' button for this purpose.
- Then we will also receive the results of the digital check;
- If the outcome is "Standard advice" or "Customised advice," we will contact you within 14 days.
