Log in with DigiD or eHerkenning
You can manage many matters online with the water authority. The water authority is responsible for ensuring that this is done in a reliable manner. That is why we often ask you to log in with DigiD or eHerkenning.
DigiD
DigiD is the login method for residents.
In most cases, you log in in to the water authority with the DigiD app on your phone or an SMS code. This provides even better protection for your personal data. The DigiD app is the easiest way to log in securely. You don't need to remember a password, just a PIN code that you choose yourself. You can also log in in two steps with an SMS code, even if you don't have a mobile phone.

eHerkenning
eHerkenning is the login method for businesses.
Would you like to manage something with the water authority on behalf of a company or organisation? For greater certainty about your online identity, we use eHerkenning. With eHerkenning, you can identify yourself securely and easily online. The great convenience is that you can log in to multiple organisations with eHerkenning. This means you have fewer passwords to remember. Secure, easy, and reliable.

In most cases, you need eHerkenning at a minimum level of EH2+. We expect this to become level EH3 soon, as is the case with many other government organisations.
Do you already have an eHerkenning login method, but not yet at the correct reliability level? Contact your supplier to upgrade your login method to a higher level and to arrange your authorisation.
Log in to the European Digital Identity (eIDAS)
The Noorderzijlvest Water Authority provides forms that enable you to use the digital identification method for cross-border access within the European Union.
