Youth Panel Presents Recommendations on the Right to Challenge

The 2024–2025 Youth Panel has begun work on an assignment regarding the “Right to Challenge.” The Right to Challenge allows citizens and civic groups to take over government tasks if they believe they can perform them better and more cost-effectively. 

What is the right to challenge? 

The right to challenge is one of the ways to take a more active role in shaping water management and policy. Examples include carrying out dredging operations and designing the living environment in a more water-friendly way. It is also possible to develop (partial) plans for water management. This right will soon be enshrined in law. It is important for all government organizations to incorporate the right to challenge into their policies and regulations. 

Advice on the Right to Challenge
