Leaking pressure pipe in Lutjegast
On Saturday evening, a leaking pressure pipe was discovered in Lutjegast near the crossroads of Zeehaanstraat and Heemskerkstraat. The supply to the pumping station was shut off and the sewage is being removed by tankers. The pavement around the crossroads has been cordoned off. The pipe will be repaired on Monday.
Small pipe
The leaking pressure pipe is a small pipe (approx. 160 mm) with a limited supply capacity (45 m³ per day). The pipe has been closed off, and no more water is supplied. The sewage water is being removed by tankers.
Repair Monday
The pavement has been cordoned off at the site. The leak will be repaired on Monday. This will require excavation of the pipe, which may cause some disruption on site.
