Leaky press line in Lutjegast
On Saturday evening, a leaking pressure pipe was discovered in Lutjegast near the intersection of Zeehaanstraat and Heemskerkstraat. The supply to the pumping station has been stopped and the sewage is being transported away by tanker trucks. The sidewalk around the intersection has been cordoned off. The pipe will be repaired on Monday.
Small pipe
The leaking pressure pipe is a small pipe (approx. 160 mm) with a limited supply capacity (45 m³ per day). The pipe has been closed off, so that no more water is being supplied. The sewage water is being removed by tanker trucks.
Repair Monday
The sidewalk has been cordoned off at the site. The leak will be repaired on Monday. This will require excavation of the pipe, which may cause some disruption at the location in question.
