Not sure which water authority is yours?

  1. Go to the postcode finder on the website ofwww.waterschappen.nl – my water authority.
  2. Select Open the postcode finder
  3. Enter your postcode (no space between the 4 digits and 2 letters) and you will see which water authority you're with.

Tip: the 'Open the postcode finder' option works best on your computer or laptop.

Region

Each water authority operates in a specific area, also known as a region. These areas consist of catchment areas. The flow of water determines the boundaries of a water authority. The Noorderzijlvest Water Authority operates in a large part of Groningen, north and central Drenthe, and a small part of Friesland.
