This is us
At Noorderzijlvest Water Authority, more than 300 colleagues work on waterproofing the future, clean, healthy, and treated water, and enough water in every season. Our region covers part of Groningen, north and central Drenthe, and a small part of Friesland. Our head office is located in Groningen. In addition, colleagues work in various workshops, pumping stations, and sewage treatment plants in our region. For example, in Leek, Onderdendam, Lauwerzijl, and Garmerwolde.

DNA of the water authority
We're thinkers, but mostly doers. We don't tackle the challenges of water on our own. We do that together with other authorities, organisations, and residents. And within the water authority, you'll also work with many different specialisms. Working together and helping each other to achieve the desired solution is an important part of the water authority's DNA. We give you a lot of freedom and responsibility. Where possible, you can organise your own work and working hours. And there's room for your own initiatives and approach.
