Project information

The Lauwersmeerdijk in Groningen runs between Lauwersoog and the Westpolder. We dyke currently reinforcing this dyke to protect ourselves against future flooding from the sea. After a period of preparation and collaborative planning, we began the work in 2023. The dike reinforcement will continue until 2027.
