Lake Paterswoldsemeer water level regulation plan finalised
On July 6, 2022, the Bestuur of Directors the water authority adopted the Water Level Regulation Plan .
Level decision
The Paterswoldsemeer lake is located on the south side of the city of Groningen. The lake is important for recreation, but it often has blue-green algae and a lot of plant growth. In the Water Level Regulation Plan the water authority the water levels water authority be maintained in the various water level areas. The explanatory notes to this decision describe the water system, the assessment, the input from the area, the choices made, and the rationale for the water levels. The explanatory notes also describe the measures to be taken to modify the water system.

Lake Paterswoldsemeer Area Programme Project
The Paterswoldsemeer is an important recreational area for the city of Groningen and its surroundings. In order to continue enjoying swimming and boating, we want a lake with clean water, good natural values, lots of different plants and animals, little blue-green algae, and without too many water plants. The water authority on the water quality of the lake in accordance with the Water Framework Directive (WFD).
