Council of State rules on Marum fire

On December 24, 2025, the Council of State ruled on the fire in Marum (2020). The water authority recover the costs of cleaning up contaminated firefighting water (€471,000) from the company where the fire occurred. The court ruled that the company violation not committed violation . Therefore, we cannot recover the costs. They will be borne by the water authority. 

We are disappointed with this ruling, but respect the judge's decision.
