Thursday, June 1, marked the official completion of the renovation of pumping station near Briltil. The official final signal was given by DB member Herman Beerda of the water authority alderman Bé Schollema of the municipality of Westerkwartier. The work was carried out under the banner of the Zuidelijk Westerkwartier area development project. In this project, the province of Groningen and water authority are working together with other parties and the local community to create new nature and water storage areas.
