Renovation of Fanerpolder pumping station begins
On Friday, September 2, renovation work began on pumping station near Briltil. At the same time, work started on reinforcing the Hoendiep Westzijde quay and repairing the road on the quay. The official starting signal was given by the oldest and youngest residents of Hoendiep Westzijde, Mr. Mulder and Robert Jan Vennema. This work is being carried out under the banner of the Zuidelijk Westerkwartier area development project. In this project, the province of Groningen and water authority are working together with other parties and the local community to create new nature and water storage areas.
