Start of work on the Noorddijk nature and recreation area
Work will be carried out in the Noorddijk nature and recreation area in September and October. The work involves dredging a number of watercourses, digging a new watercourse constructing or replacing dams with culverts.
Potential inconvenience
The work will take place in the Noorddijk nature and recreation area. The work may cause some inconvenience to hikers and cyclists in the area.
Reason
The work is being carried out as part of the Water Supply to Eastern City Districts project. One of the project’s objectives is to reroute the main watercourse it no longer runs through the Bevrijdingsbos. The work is being carried out in coordination with Natuurmonumenten (Dutch Society for Nature Conservation) its leaseholders.
