The Lauwersmeerdijk in Groningen lies between Lauwersoog and the Westpolder. Together with government agencies, market stakeholders, nature organizations, civil society groups, businesses, and residents, we are working to create the most sustainable dyke the Netherlands: our dyke of tomorrow.
You can achieve more through collaboration
This principle of collaboration is central to the WOW platform. The platform brings together government agencies and the managers of roads, waterways, and water bodies. It facilitates knowledge sharing and inspires people by allowing them to learn from each other’s experiences so they can achieve more together. The nominated water board projects demonstrate that coordination with partners, funders, and local residents is crucial for successful collaboration. Conflicting interests can cause friction. However, through constructive dialogue, it is possible to achieve a greater and more impactful outcome than realisation own mandate alone.
