Temporary deputy on the Noorderzijlvest board
Annette van Velde (62, Kantens) is stepping down temporarily from her position on the Board of Directors and the Executive Board of Noorderzijlvest Water Authority due to illness. She is resigning permanently from her position on the Executive Board of the Dutch Water Authorities.
LTO Noord appoints Eisse Luitjens
Ms. Van Velde (Geborgd ongebouwd-VVD-CDA political grouping) will be replaced on the recommendation of LTO Noord. This is the appointing authority for this guaranteed seat on the water authority board.
LTO Noord appoints Mr Eisse Luitjens (71, Loppersum). Luitjens is well known to the water authority. From 2015 until June 2023, he was a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Board on behalf of the combined CDA-ChristenUnie-VVD political grouping.
Luitjens will take over Van Velde's entire portfolio. This includes water safety, sufficient and healthy water in the northern part of the region, freshwater availability, and muskrat and coypu management.

During a brief meeting scheduled for 12 November, the Board of Directors took a decision on Luitjens' admission to the Board of Directors on his membership as a temporary deputy of the Executive Board.
