Update: Delfzijl dike passages reopened
On Thursday evening, December 19, at 11:30 p.m., we closed the dike passages in Delfzijl due to high tide at sea. The highest water level of NAP +3.14 meters was reached on Friday morning at 2:50 a.m. After that, the water receded. The dike passages are now open again.
The dike passages in Delfzijl always close when the expected sea level is NAP + 3 meters or higher. We close them together with our colleagues from the Hunze en Aa’s Water Authority.
