Request for access to or correction of personal data (GDPR)

We use your personal data exclusively for the purpose for which you have provided it to us. This is in accordance with privacy legislation, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Would you like to view or correct your personal data? Please fill in our contact form.

Who can request access to or correction of personal data?

Have you provided us with your personal data? This may be because we needed it for:

  • Granting of permits
  • Supervision and enforcement
  • Performing work on or via your plots of land
  • Providing reimbursements or addressing opinions

You can then submit a request to view or correct your personal data.

What do you need?

  • A copy of your ID (you may obscure your social security number)

How does it work?

When submitting your request, it is important that we can verify your identity. This ensures that only you can request your data.

  • Send us a copy of your ID. Your name and date of birth must be clearly legible. You may conceal your social security number (BSN).
  • State the purpose of your request on the copy, for example, the deletion of your data.

Does your request affect the privacy of others? If so, the water board may refuse your request for access.

How does the procedure work?

  • If you wish to exercise your right(s), you will receive a response within one month. In some cases, the response period may be extended by up to two months. In any case, you will always receive a response to your question, report, or complaint.

You can also submit complaints to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. This is the national supervisory authority for the protection of personal data.
