Every day, we use millions of liters of water. But where does it actually go when we flush the toilet or brush our teeth?

The wastewater treatment plant in Delfzijl is one of the locations where we treat water treat. That’s where the third exhibition for residents and people living near such a facility is taking place. Stop by and see for yourself how important it is to have enough clean water! 

Programme

We’ll start with a visual tour that highlights the value of water. Discover exactly what happens at the treatment plant, how wastewater is treated, and what raw materials are extracted from it. And what does Noorderzijlvest Water Authority do with the medication residues removed from the wastewater? You might have questions of your own during the water exhibition, or you might simply enjoy learning more about this fascinating topic.

After that, Noorderzijlvest Water Authority employees will be available to talk with you. Did you know, for example, that wastewater is often viewed as pollution, but also contains valuable substances that can be reused? And that water knows no boundaries?
