Improving water quality in the Eelderdiep
Noorderzijlvest wants to improve the water quality in the Eelderdiep. This is in line with the rules set out in the Water Framework Directive. We want to do this in the most natural way possible, in keeping with the environment. It is important to first examine how the area came into being and how it is used. To find this out, we conducted a study.
More knowledge about the Eelderdiep
Recently, we conducted a comprehensive system analysis. This study provides more insight into water quality and water quantity in each season. We also gained more information about the ecology, soil structure, and history of the area. This knowledge is important for better understanding how the water system works and the current quality of the area.
With this knowledge and expertise in the field, we want to work with our partners and residents to make water management more sustainable, greener, and more natural. This is in line with our blue environmental vision (BOVi). We will be working on this in the coming period.
