Submit an objection

Do you disagree with a decision made by the water authority? Does this decision affect you or your business? For example: You are not allowed to build a jetty on a watercourse and you disagree with this decision. Use the Objection form or send your objection by post to the Executive Board 

Who can object? 

  • You can only object to a decision made by the Noorderzijlvest Water Authority.
  • You must submit the objection within 6 weeks after the decision has been made.
  • As a stakeholder, you are directly involved in the decision.

Would you like to object to a decision on water rates? You can do so at the Noordelijk Belastingkantoor.

What do you need? 

  • For personal use DigiD level medium.
  • For organisations with eHerkenning level EH2+.
  • Please state the number of the decision in the application. The number is located at the top right of the decision you received.

How does it work? 

  • Use the objection form.
  • There are no costs associated with submitting an objection.

Please state clearly: 

  • Your name and address
  • The date of the objection
  • The number of the decision you disagree with
  • The reasons why you object
  • Your signature

  How does the procedure work? 

  • You will receive confirmation of receipt of your objection.
  • You will then receive a letter explaining the next steps in the procedure.
  • Please note that an appeal procedure can take several months. You can read more about processing times in our service standards.
  • We may invite you for a meeting to find a solution.
  • If this is not possible, your objection will be processed by our external appeals committee.
  • The committee invites you to a hearing.
  • The committee advises the Executive Board
  • The Executive Board will decide on your objection.
  • You will receive our decision on your objection.

Do you disagree with the decision? 

Depending on the subject of the decision, you may be able to appeal against it. You can read more about this in the decision. It will also tell you how much time you have to appeal and to whom you can appeal.
