What is the Legger Policy?

It is often unclear who is responsible for maintaining these bank-protection structures: is it the water authority, or the adjacent landowner? This lack of clarity leads to overdue maintenance and can result in unsafe conditions. We want to work with all stakeholders to change this. That is why we have laid out new guidelines for the maintenance obligations regarding flood embankments, sheet piling riverbanks. We have incorporated these into our policy.
