Newsletter RWZI Westerkwartier. This newsletter is published by the RWZIWesterkwartier project team. As part of this project, a new sewage treatment plant (STP) will be commissioned in Gaarkeuken in 2024. This new STP will replace the current plants in Marum, Zuidhorn, and Gaarkeuken. The new treatment plant will improve water quality in the water board's polderand reservoir water system.
Project sub-site project RWZI Westerkwartier
The Noorderzijlvest water board is preparing for the construction of a new sewage treatment plant in Gaarkeuken in the municipality of Westerkwartier. This will replace the current treatment plants in Gaarkeuken, Marum, and Zuidhorn. These plants are severely outdated and in need of replacement. Construction of the new treatment plant in Gaarkeuken is expected to start in 2022.
