2021 Public Annual Report: Delivering on our promises!
We completed about 73% of the water-management work planned. We are proud of this achievement, especially given the extraordinary circumstances. After all, we continued to operate under restrictive COVID-19 measures in 2021 as well.
We are seeing more and more that the public is becoming aware of the role of water. Whether there is too much or too little water, it dominates the news and public discourse. This is happening with increasing frequency and urgency. That is why it remains of the utmost importance that we deliver on our promises together with our partners and the people who region and work in our region .
New Water Management Program: Robust water-management work, Tailored Solutions, and Collaboration
In 2021, our Board of Directors adopted Board of Directors new water management program. This programme strongly on the challenges in six sub-regions within our overall region. As a result, discussions with residents and partners regarding current issues become more relatable, specific, and manageable for everyone involved. 2021 marks the first year of implementation for the new water management program.
Our challenges can be summarised briefly as follows:
- we must remain "climate-ready";
- we are working toward a more natural water system;
- we coordinate and facilitate spatial development projects;
- we contribute to a sustainably developed area;
- We are a dynamic organisation works together to tackle our challenges.
