Terms of employment
What can you expect when you start working at Noorderzijlvest Water Authority? For starters, you will have a varied job in a great organisation. And you can count on good terms of employment of course.
Your terms of employment
Salary
Whether you have a permanent or temporary contract, at the water authority you receive an excellent monthly salary. The amount depends on the position you will take up and the experience you bring to the table. Trainees also receive a salary from us. Trainees receive a work-placement allowance.
Individual choice budget
Would you like to pursue further education or do you need more days off? The choice is yours. At Noorderzijlvest, you have an Individual Choice Budget (IKB) that amounts to at least 21% of your gross salary (including 8% holiday pay). You can have this budget paid out monthly or annually (in part). You can also use it to pay for all or part of a training course or to purchase extra leave.
Personal training budget
You will receive a personal training budget (Personal Basic Budget) of €6,000 for 5 years, which you can use for your own training, development, career, and vitality during a specific period. Employees under the age of 35 are eligible for an additional allowance of €6,000.
Attention for you
We believe that focusing on your added value and talents is much more important than traditional performance interviews and appraisals. That is why we have 'the good conversation': you discuss topics such as your ambitions, wishes, and vitality with your manager.
Hybrid working
At our water authority, you can work from home some of the time in many positions. We often hold digital meetings, use smart tools, and strive to find a good balance between working from home and on site. When you start working for us, you will receive a sum of money to help you set up your home office in the best possible way. This ensures that you can work from home in a healthy and pleasant manner.
Leave
You are entitled to 144 hours of leave per year based on a 36-hour working week. You can purchase additional leave with the individual choice budget (IKB). Sometimes you may want to take a longer period of paid or unpaid leave, for example to provide informal care, travel the world, or renovate your home. This can be discussed.
Our collective bargaining agreement
The collective bargaining agreement for the water authority sector sets out the national terms and conditions of employment for water authorities. It contains information about salary, working hours and leave, personnel policy, and support in the event of illness. In addition, the Noorderzijlvest Water Authority has additional terms and conditions of employment, such as a bicycle scheme, flexible working hours, and a smartphone and laptop (on loan).
