Draft water level decision Dwarsdiep available for inspection
The draft Dwarsdiep water level decision is available for inspection. Would you like to know more? Then come to the open evening on Thursday, February 29, in Tolbert.
Draft water level decision
Preparations for the Dwarsdiep water level decision have begun. Plans have been developed for the Dwarsdiep area to improve water quality and increase water safety by constructing water storage facilities and developing nature.
In order to implement these plans, changes to the water system are necessary. This requires a new water level decision for the Dwarsdiep. In a water level decision, the water board determines the required water levels and engineering structures (culverts, weirs, pumping stations) necessary to achieve this.

Continued
Based on the upcoming discussions, responses, and any opinions, the water board will continue to work on a final water level decision. It will address every question and response in an official document. The water board aims to present a proposal for a final water level decision to its general board in June 2024. The general board will then take a decision on this. This does not mean that the water levels in the area will change immediately. The water level decision is an intermediate step in preparing and implementing further measures.
