Draft water level regulation plan Dwarsdiep available for inspection

DraftWater Level Regulation Plan 

Preparations for the Water Level Regulation Plan have begun. Plans have been developed for the Dwarsdiep area to improve water quality and enhance water safety through the construction of balancing lake nature conservation efforts. 

Implementing these plans will require changes to the water system. This necessitates a new Water Level Regulation Plan the Dwarsdiep. In a Water Level Regulation Plan , the water authority the target water levels and the structures (culverts, weirs, pumping stations) required to achieve them.

Available for public inspection – Tuesday, January 30, 2024, through Friday, March 15, 2024

Over the coming weeks, from Tuesday, January 30, 2024, through Friday, March 15, 2024, the water authority will make theWater Level Regulation Plan forWater Level Regulation Plan review. The draft outlines all hydraulic engineering measures. AnyoneWater Level Regulation Plan interest in or stake in theWater Level Regulation Plan is invited to review it and submit comments.

Open House

To make it easy for people to view the design, there will be an open house on February 29 at the Postwagen in Tolbert from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Based on the upcoming discussions, responses, and any consultation responses, the water authority will work on a definitive Water Level Regulation Plan. It will address every question and consultation response in an official document. The water authority strives to present a proposal for a definitive Water Level Regulation Plan to its Board of Directors Water Level in  June 2024. The Board of Directors will then take a decision. This does not mean that the water levels in the area will change immediately. The Water Level Regulation Plan is an intermediate step in preparing and implementing further measures.
