Measure greenhouse gas emissions during sludge maturation

Would you like to get started preparing an experiment involving the installation of solar panels on a primary flood defense? Then this is a great internship or graduation project for you. 

Internship assignment 

  • Objective: to measure greenhouse gas emissions during the maturation of sludge for dike reinforcement

Explanation

For those interested in physical chemistry: when wet sludge matures into a usable building material, various greenhouse gases are emitted. We would like to conduct measurements in the lab and in the field to determine the amount of emissions. Together with the University of Groningen, a number of measurements have already been carried out and analysis equipment has been used. We would like to continue this under varying conditions.
